Inter & Senior Mid Year Showcase

DATE: Fri 13th June, 7pm
LOCATION: McAuley Hall, Sacred Heart
82 Aphrasia St, Newtown

Dancers: Inter Jazz, Inter Contemporary, Inter Acro, Senior Jazz, Senior Contemporary, Inter & Senior Hip Hop, Dance Ability

Dancers Arrive: 5pm for on stage rehearsal
Foyer Opens: 5pm
Theatre doors open: 6:30pm
Show: 7-8pm

Dancers arrive at 5pm at stage door (through the large wrought iron gates on Aphrasia Street). We will meet dancers and take attendance.

Please note it is really important to be on time to ensure a smooth day. Time will be limited, so please arrive with your hair and makeup done!

Parents/partners are welcome to wait in the foyer after drop-offs. We will have barista made coffee, a bar, and gifts available.

Please come with your hair done! If you need help, bring a brush, pins, hair ties and let us know in advance so we can help you

Senior’s Hair
Own hair style of choice. All hair must be off the face and not tempting to touch while on stage.

Inter’s hair
Please wear your hair in two braids into bun. All hair must be pulled off the face and neatly slicked back. Let us know if you’re good at braiding and can come and help our dancers!

Practice in your hair style to ensure it stays off your face, and it is appropriate for your costumes and quick changes.

It gets hot up under the lights, we recommend setting spray or powder to make sure your beautiful make-up lasts to the end of the show!
• Foundation
• Red lipstick
• Pink blush
• Brown eyebrows
• Brown eye shadow for a smoky eye
• Black eyeliner
• Black mascara

Please no glitter on dancers faces. If you would like to add a bit of extra sparkle (we all love sparkle!!!), you are welcome to put some glitter on your hair before you get to the venue.

Feel free to bring snacks with you on the day. Be mindful of the food you pack.
Please don’t include items that are messy,
could stain clothing, or stays on your fingers.
We work hard on our costumes and
want to keep them as tidy as possible!

Nut free snacks only please!

Dancer will be required to wear their own well fitting, light coloured underwear under their costumes.
Dancers are welcome to wear whatever dance clothes to the venue. We will do a run through of our numbers in those clothes at the start of the day before getting changed.
We encourage all dancers to wear a zip through jacket, which will keep them warm once in costume and which we can easily take off without messing up their beautiful hair.
Hip hop crew, please bring non-branded white sneakers with white socks.

Please bring a named bag to put your belongings in while you’re in costume (with a base). We will use this to store your clothes and shoes while in costume and to ensure that everything goes back to their correct owners.
Label, label, label! Clearly name all water bottles, clothing and bags with their name. We aim for no lost socks and jumpers this year! Please do not bring valuables.
