Uniform Recommendations 2022
Groove (Jazz) & Contemporary & Theatre Kids
Minis - we recommend bikesehorts and singlet or our two layer dance dress or they are welcome to wear their own tutu or costume - as long as they can safely dance in it. Please no hard/pointy wings, stockings, hard head bands or loose jewellery.
Kids (Prep/Year 1) - two layer dance dress or bike shorts/leggings and singlet (plain black or Impetus branded)
Juniors/Inters/Seniors - Bike shorts/leggings and Singlets (plain black or Impetus branded)
Hip Hop (all ages) - black looser clothing (plain black or Impetus branded)
Go!Dance - no uniform requirements
AcroDance (all ages) - Two layer dance dress or bike shorts/leggings and fitted singlet or crop top. Important: dancers need to wear their hair tied back neatly in a bun for safety reasons. Please pack additional hair ties in your dance bag in case you need to fix your hair during class.
HOODIES For the cooler weather - which no doubt is coming, we recommend our super popular Impetus Zip Hoodies for all classes and age groups. Brilliant quality, free personalisation and super soft and snuggly.
SHOES
Groove (Jazz students) - beige Jazz shoes. Please see here for more info.
Hip Hop, Senior Company and Go!Dance - clean non-marking sneakers
All Contemporary Dancers and Tinies/Minis/Kids - bare feet
*We encourage our dancers to wear our cool uniform, however, it is not compulsory. If you choose not to wear uniform, you will need some plain black items for filming/performances - we will let you know in advance when you'll need them, but just a heads up now. Also, we encourage friendships across schools, so ask dancers to please not wear their school sports uniform to class.
With regards to footwear - please check our recommendations for your class. Everyone is welcome to dance in bare feet if they prefer, however for safety reasons, socks are not allowed in class.
